'The Sage' by Rishi Sethi is a guide book to self realisation and discovery.

The author has taken this book as medium to answer the most common and simplest questions we have about ourselves paving the way to connect us with our inner self!

Young and Naive: That was what Nikhil was when we meet him at the beginning of the story. This journey is our journey through Nikhil as he comes face to face with the most basic ideals he grew up with.

To go in search of your true self is actually a lot easier than starting a new beginning with a clean slate. To know that the concepts you believed in to this day might be wrong; to rebuild yourself from the bottom. This is the type of journey Nikhil has embarked upon.

Rishi Sethi takes us on this remarkable journey with Nikhil as he faces his old memories and realises the truth behind the words of his childhood friend and mentor.

Nikhil's story is his journey towards self love and true happiness. And a very inspiring one.

The Sage is a work of fiction which is both philosophical and thought provoking. It starts off with a story about a King who happens to find a mystical garden where he experiences a sweet peace and rest which he never felt before. He often thinks about that one experience but something hinders him from seeking it. It's his fear that it doesn't exist at all and if he does find it, there might be no coming back. This fear stops him from seeking out what he desired the most.
This story is like an analogy to the life and journey of Nikhil. He is a cardiologist from New York. A visit to Mumbai, to conduct a workshop triggers back old, suppressed memories. Nikhil considers himself a stoic and arrogant person but there is so much loss and pain in his heart. The loss of his parents, the loss of the companionship of his childhood friend Krishna, the loss of his identity. I loved the philosophical thoughts mentioned in this book, the Different perspective on this world around, of the pain and the emotions, etc. Narration is smooth and engrossing. I'd recommend it to all, especially to those who are on a journey of self realization and mysticism.

The genre of the book is self avail and philosophy. It has four components and every component shows the denotement of life in some form or the other.

The story revolves around our protagonist Nikhil, a Cardiologist in New York. On a peregrination to India, he memorizes his past, which brings back the recollections of his friend Krishna, whom he had met by chance. As they bond with time, their amity leaves a mark on the puerile Nikhil's mind back then.

The stories narrated by Krishna are impactful. The transition of Nikhil is commendable. Albeit the edifications are focused more on Nikhil's life they carry the same sense around all other human being.

Through this book the author has answered the prevalent questions we have about ourselves. I authentically recommend it to everyone.

This book is about a boy name Nikhil and his past and present journey. I don't know why, but with all this wisdom and search of meaning for his life. I saw myself in him. That fickle mind that goes back and forth in memory lane in search of a meaning to every thing in his life concerned me to my core. This book falls in a self-help category and have a deep impact on the mind of a reader with questions arising in his mind.

They say that answers lies in within, but how to find it ? Nobody tells. The journey of the protagonist is spiritual and is all about finding faith and love in his life. We all are confused, depressed in our own ways. Author urges finding that one meaning through this journey of Nikhil. The way the story progresses, you will be bombarded by questions and some wisdom along with its answers. This book is like a meditation, and the title seems to be perfectly suited for it.

The cover of the book is what attracted me. I know it's unprofessional to judge one book by its cover. But I kind of expected and needed such a book in my library. I am already a fan of this book. This book is a must-read and trust me you won't regret a bit.

Sage is a really powerful and sacred herb used for spiritual cleansing and positivity. By the title itself we can conclude that the book must be either philosophical or spiritual.
It also encourages the idea of self love which is the key to everything.
The storyline revolves around Nikhil. He is looking for the answer to all the questions that he has from the life.
Nikhil is traveling back to India. He has problems in his life and even though trying hard, he just could not end up in positivity.
Revolving around these issues, slowly he realizes his worth and awakens spiritually.
It was a relatable read as we all face these problems in our life but how we deal with them is the thing that matters the most.
