This book was a breath of fresh air from other kinds of fiction, I literally breathed this book in what I lived most about this book is that I usually don't like many non fictional books but this book is a perfect quest of faith, trust and love set in a fictional way yet helps the readers attain self-help and/or get inspired by the book!
Nikhil is a young man who's on a journey to find who he is and he has end number of questions and a few that we have too often. His journey to Self-realization is what this book is about! Starting the book we see a king and a smart man which then switches to Nikhil's. The thought process is an uphill battle which I loved most Nikhil is quite an interesting character. Nikhil is shown as a character who's on a soul searching and a character who wants to find his place and purpose in the universe. He is often seen to have flashbacks of his younger days where he played with his best friend Krishna. And as he grew up Krishna's influence is seen on Nikhil's personality. When he faces trials and tribulations in the present he starts to question everything he's learnt as a child and his moral base is shaking but in the end it all comes full circle and shows the beauty of self realization wrapped with a beautiful bow.
The character development is constructed really well that the reader can relate to and the plot twist is set appropriately and in a manner that it's easy to decrypt. The language is lucid and easy to understand for all kinds of readers so kudos to the author on making this a book for every reader!

The Sage by Rishi Sethi is a fictional read with an amazing storyline and concept.
The story revolves around a guy named Nikhil - Doctor by profession, who was born and brought up in mumbai, currently settled outside the country and is visiting India after several years.
He has lots of questions in his mind and desperately searching for the answers of the same.
During his visit to India he reunites with his past life, and as he goes down the memory lane, he reminisces the memories of his childhood friend and mentor, Krishna.
As he tries to resolve his unanswered questions regarding life, his faith drags him into situations that challenge every concept taught to young Nikhil by his friend.
Will Nikhil be able to succed in finding his true self? Pick up this book to find out for yourself.

There is a story, there is the philosophy and then there is self-help. Well, these are the components of the book – The Sage. The Story is about Nikhil searching for some answers and the philosophy is that he learns through Spirituality and finally we can benefit from the narration to find answers that we have been looking for!
Nikhil, in his quest for answers, befriends Krishna who guides him through the various queries and offers to clear him of all the qualms. Krishna, through his enlightening stories and captivating talks, finds a permanent place in Nikhil’s mind. He applies Krishna’s philosophical teachings and applies them to find a balance between his personal life and career.
This book has been penned beautifully. Philosophy, Spirituality, Selfhelp have been perfectly blended in the narration. This makes it a lot easier to assimilate the objectives of the book. I read this spread over a couple of days to take time to contemplate the ideals present in this book.

This book is about a boy name Nikhil and his past and present journey. I don't know why, but with all this wisdom and search of meaning for his life. I saw myself in him. That fickle mind that goes back and forth in memory lane in search of a meaning to every thing in his life concerned me to my core. This book falls in a self-help category and have a deep impact on the mind of a reader with questions arising in his mind.
They say that answers lies in within, but how to find it ? Nobody tells. The journey of the protagonist is spiritual and is all about finding faith and love in his life. We all are confused, depressed in our own ways. Author urges finding that one meaning through this journey of Nikhil. The way the story progresses, you will be bombarded by questions and some wisdom along with its answers. This book is like a meditation, and the title seems to be perfectly suited for it.
The cover of the book is what attracted me. I know it's unprofessional to judge one book by its cover. But I kind of expected and needed such a book in my library. I am already a fan of this book. This book is a must-read and trust me you won't regret a bit.

The story takes us back and forth in Nikhil's life where he befriends Krishna. Nikhil's unusual friend, Krishna tries to guide a growing up Nikhil and answers his complex questions about life's apparent unfairity. He teaches Nikhil the importance of love, respect and self control, which at the tender age he had failed to understand but realises it's true power when he faces some hurdles later in his life. Every discord takes him back to Krishna and his solemn demeanor and sagely exuberance. Slowly he tries to understand what his companion was trying to tell him. He tries to apply it during his difficult time which helps him in mental balance and spiritual awakening. The story takes us through Nikhil's daily life as a doctor, his discipline, his passion towards his work, his decision making ability during emergency, his presence of mind and also conflicts with the institution. There should have been an index for references explaining the medical terminologies and other scientific context used in the conversations. There are some incredible mythological references throughout the book. Krishna's teachings about life are wise and intense. Overall a decent read.

Nikhil's return, meeting a friend and travelogue went well. Finds and answers the thoughts and doubts in a person's mind in a relative and attractive way. This reading will make you wonder if his friend Krishna's behavior will influence Nikhil's stories of his enlightenment. Each of these contexts is very powerful, meaningful and influences the mind. The author was able to conquer the minds of the readers by combining spirituality and philosophy. Memories of the past and present life are described in an astonishing way.Nikhil is a good clarity. The wisdom stories of the character Krishna seemed very good to me.
