The Sage by Mr. Rishi Sethi is categorised as self-help and philosophical read, divided into thirty seven chapters, with an eminent dose of realisation in regards to life. The author began his pen over to endorse the story, featuring a King and a wise man. However, maintaining the pace, the author thus introduced the story of Nikhil, which is the story of the protagonist at the present moment. The book advances to scrutinising ownself and resisting the courteous feeling of self-love foremost.
This is a mere regular moment, when one has self-doubt regarding many ongoing things, be it anything such as Who am I? What is the purpose of my life? Nikhil too had a moment of such a dilemma from a young age, but was overshadowed by the naivety. Once had a call, to be back in India for a trip, he sensed an out of the box feeling towards his life, and had reminisced the memories of his childhood friend Krishna, who also was his mentor on certain grounds.
The author had apt understanding towards life, as this book literally drove me crazy of eagerness. Being someone, who had deep connection with philosophical books, I was there till the last word with the same zeal, as when I began to. It was an obvious engrossing read, which sums up those untouched parts of one's life which isn't visible yet keeps on bothering the individual. The book deals with self-love, spiritualism, mysticism, philosophy.
I love the way the author connected the things to scientific validation and had the special index for further references explaining the terminology was the final nail to this beautiful experience.
Sorry for being unprofessional, but I'd forcibly urge you to give it a try.

“Every man is just a spectacle of the complex roads that run in his mind.
He consciously or subconsciously has to decide which roads to take.
Those that everyone else around him is taking.
Or those that are less traveled, and lead to some unseen land.
Where maybe no man has gone before.

"The Sage", by Rishi Sethi belongs to philosophical genre and kind of gives the vibe of a self help too. The way the author has used stories to make his points more visible is very appealing.
Being true non fiction is not my genre, so I always seek for books which serves the purpose without much bluffing and more with stories. I am so happy I found this one.

Being true non fiction is not my genre, so I always seek for books which serves the purpose without much bluffing and more with stories. I am so happy I found this one.

The author has added a few quotes and facts throughout the book, which is really impressive. "The sage", surely has all the qualities of a good book, right from a good motive and core ethic value to the apt narrative style and lucid language used by the author throughout the book.

All I can say is, if a self help book makes you feel like home and makes you understand its motive from self realization to the journey of life, you cannot help but to pick it up, that's why I couldn't help myself picking this one.

Make sure you check this guys if you love reading books which gives you a purpose without giving any purpose. Loved the author's work, totally want to read more of his work.

Do let me know your experience if you read this guys.

Happy reading

REVIEW:-

1) 'The Sage' by Rishi Sethi is a self help book and teaches us that self-love and self-realisation is the most important thing in one's life before anything else. The book is written in four parts and every part had a deep meaning about life.
2) We all have questions about ourselves like "Who I am?" "What is the meaning of my life?" , but few of us are really interested to find the answers and eventually discover self-love. This book is a medium to all those answers.
3) The author has woven the reality of life deftly in the narrative. This book is a slice of life that combines with surrealism and spirituality.
4) Nikhil's journey towards self-discovery is really inspiring.
5) I really really enjoyed this book a lot, the way of writing and the narrative based upon the experiences from author's life. I will recommend everyone this book for your self-realisation.

"A man grows up when he learns to live peacefully with some deep pain in his heart that he can never resolve."

Nikhil, a young and famous interventional cardiologist based in New York visits Mumbai, the city of his childhood days and reminisces about the teachings he received from his mentor Krishna when he was a ten year old kid.

The Sage, a soul-searching journey of love, faith and mysticism is the debut novel from the author. It's so well-written and the narration is so smooth and beautiful that I kept turning pages one after the other that I didn't realise that I was almost halfway through the book in just one sitting. So yes, that's the magic of The Sage.

The book is impressive, and talks about the importance of loving oneself first. An interesting tale of soul-searching that is as soulful as it's title sounds and it's a book with positive vibes. Pure magic!

It's something about ourselves that we confide in someone to guide us through hard times, make things easier for us. What matters the most is that we stick to what we have been informed of, and the rest is fate.

Not my usual go-to genre, but I'm really glad that I picked this one up.
