This is a wonderful fictional self-help book penned down by the author. He has written the book the realistic dilemmas of life that almost everyone faces in this mysterious and enthralling world. The author had done a commendable job by actually writing in a story instead of a normal self-help book for better understanding. The narration was breezy yet gripping. I loved how the character of Nikhil was effectively developed.
An amazing read, would rate the book 4.8 out of 5

"The Sage" by "Rishi Seth" is a charming and uplifting book that will help the readers in their self-exploration journey. Rishi weaves a beautiful and motivational story with a slice of life.
The book follows the story of Nikhil, who is on the quest to discover the meanings of events that impact an individual. He was a doctor who resided in the US. In his early twenties, he lost his parents and was lonely. However, he had a friend, Krishna, who shared everything and found a sense of peace in his company. In the early stages, when he was busy with studies and making the path for his career, he didn't understand the conversations between Krishna and himself.
One day a question asked by an MBBS student made him curious and led him on a soul-searching journey, and during his journey, he met with many characters that influenced his life and made beautiful bonds for life.
"The Sage" is a captivating tale that blends self-actualization, spiritual concepts, and philosophy into one dynamic book. The book's content is explicit and easy to comprehend, and the questions raised are logical. The author's philosophical narration highlights the difference between spiritual and worldly happiness and educates how man-made laws influence individuals.
For example:
"Truth is nothing but a frail thread of belief that people hang on to. Pretending that it is a colossal tower that is fathomless in its foundation, only to see it crumble like a sandcastle with even the smallest tides of time."
The book will help the readers become wiser and understand the purpose of life, the importance of self-awareness, and how to empower their life with self-love. There is a lot to extract from the book and put into practice in daily life to lead a life full of joy, harmony, and contentment.
If you're the one who is trying to find peace in a chaotic life, then "The Sage" is a perfect pick for you.

The writings of this book are very much pleasing to the soul. It is quite deep and philosophical. It makes you retrospect and introspect. This book will always hold a special meaning in my heart because the content that is being shared are so deep, meaningful and powerful; from the construction to the themes and the language. Everything is being done beautifully and you can feel that great poetic touch in everything.
Throughout the book, I came across paragraphs where I reflect on the many things in my life, questioning different things and finding my guide to answers that have always baffled my mind.
This book is about Nikhil, and his friendship with Krishna, who is also his mentor, companion and a guiding soul to him. This friendship turns out to be kind of a turning point for him because of the many life lessons that he learned from it.
This book has a deep impact on the readers and it spread a strong message of self-love and how important it is. This book has so much positivity in it that one cannot help but be affected by it.
Also, it has been written in a very detailed and clear manner. The author has done a beautiful job with this book. It is very interesting and intriguing. I loved everything about it. There are so many elements in this book and one would think that it would all go haywire but the author has weaved them beautifully and everything fits perfectly with everything.
The writing style of the book is simple yet impactful. The language may be basic and simple but it hits right where it hurts. I love the narrative technique that is being used. This book touches and soothed the soul and I would recommend it to everyone. Do pick it up for a great read.

The Sage paints a beautiful journey of self-discovery and the impact that self-realization has on one's life. Nikhil, our protagonist, is on a soul searching mission. He wants solutions to his concurrent problems and this carries him on a spiritual trip.
Through the protagonist, the author has presented us with innumerable life lessons and enlightenment. He has blended spiritual philosophy with fiction, thus making the transition easier for a reader. The character of Nikhil is a common one, made richer by the definition of his enlightenment. His friend, Krishna is, from my point of view, is the focal point of the story. Without his wise words, Nikhil's journey would be nothing sort of driftwood. The allegorical narrative and the allusion to mythology enhanced the reading experience.
I found that this was not a book that I could enjoy all at once, neither is this the sort of book that I might want to read every day. It is an unfortunate habit of mine to leave non-fiction halfway or not read them at all, thus depriving me of much useful advice that one might find in those pages. This is where books like The Sage serve their purpose. My brain, conditioned to read only fictional books, accepts such text with ease. However, in all honesty, it was a tad bit heavy-handed for me. I don't know if I will pick up another book like this since it took me a long time for me to complete it but to be fair, it might be of help to people who do not have the luxury to go on a literal soul searching journey. My rating is 3.8 stars.
